FAQ’s

  • Web Strategy and Internet Marketing

    • What will you do as a web strategist for my web project?

    • My predominant job as a web strategist is to cast vision and map out a strategy tailored to a client’s goals. I will work with you to analyze what you are doing online to promote your business/website and walk you through how to better align your web presence with your business goals and increase your visibility online. All circumstances are different and there is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Every business has a unique identity and agenda. At the end of the day your website needs to support your needs, it is about you!
    • I already have a designer will you still work with me on laying out a strategy?

    • I sure will, I love helping people with their websites and normally charge a flat rate to meet and discuss your situation. email me at jordan@jordanramey.com to set it up.

  • SEO (Search Engine Optimization)

    • I hear this a lot what does it mean?

    • What will you do as a Search Engine Optimizer?

    • First and foremost this is 100% driven by your objectives. SEO is a complicated business and involves a little of everything: keyword research, coding, strategic placement, layout, copywriting, social media, etc. No silver bullet just logic and elbow grease. Optimizing incorrectly can severely damage your website and worse your reputation, but largely my efforts focus on user-centered design and how your content works with your goals.
    • How do social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest and Youtube work into SEO strategy?

    • Much like SEO, every situation is unique to both your needs and your willingness to participate. I believe that social media is important and that to get the most benefit out of any social networking site you must be an active and authentic participant. I encourage every business to include social channels in their web initiatives but most situations require unique attention to what the business actually needs.

  • Web Design & Development

    • Q: I need a website, will you build one for me?

A: Yes. That is what I love doing!

Q: How much is that going to cost me?

A: Everything I do is custom, so there is no set price. I will work inside of your budget and figure out how we can get you the product you need. Most times if you have a small budget with big ideas I can develop a plan to build your site in phases to reduce the upfront price and still build a killer site that you can be proud of!

Q: How will I update my website after it’s built?

A: Teach a man to fish rather then give him one. This is a preference issue. I recommend that clients update their own website, no one knows your brand, product or business better than you. I prefer WordPress CMS (Content Management System) and will give you a face-to-face walkthrough of how the CMS works. I’ve found it is pretty robust and generally very user friendly. We can also work out a web maintenance package if you prefer.

Q: Will you update my website instead?

A: I am happy to work out an arrangement for any updates you might have for your website on an hourly or monthly basis whichever is practical for your needs.
