Q What will you do as a Search Engine Optimizer?
A First and foremost this is 100% driven by your objectives. SEO is a complicated business and involves a little of everything: keyword research, coding, strategic placement, layout, copywriting, social media, etc. No silver bullet just logic and elbow grease. Optimizing incorrectly can severely damage your website and worse your reputation, but largely my efforts focus on user-centered design and how your content works with your goals.
Q How do social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest and Youtube work into SEO strategy?
A Much like SEO, every situation is unique to both your needs and your willingness to participate. I believe that social media is important and that to get the most benefit out of any social networking site you must be an active and authentic participant. I encourage every business to include social channels in their web initiatives but most situations require unique attention to what the business actually needs.
